After introducing the Niveau Grotesk type family two days ago, I also would like to give you a closer review of its companion Niveau Serif. This beautiful serif font family by type designer Hannes von Döhren (HVD Fonts) consists of 6 weights plus matching italics and small caps. This serif typeface takes its inspiration from classical nineteenth century engravers font faces. Niveau Serif’s shape is based on geometric forms with a contemporary feel. Such as Niveau Grotesk, Niveau Serif also has numerous OpenType features such as alternate letters, arrows, and fractions. Its extended character set supports Central, Eastern, and Western European Languages.
