Wolpe Tempest – typefaces by Berthold Wolpe remastered and digitized by Toshi Omagari.
Recently published by foundry Monotype, Wolpe Tempest is based on original type designs by legendary German typographer Berthold Wolpe (1905 – 1989). In 2017, Monotype staff typeface designer Toshi Omagari had the opportunity to work on a remastered version of Berthold Wolpe’s Tempest typeface. The result is ‘Wolpe Tempest’, a small family consisting of three weights and several alternate characters. Whether online or offline projects, it is intended for any kind of display use. The new version also supports most Western European and many Eastern European languages. It is well suited for typographic applications such as branding, packaging, billboard and poster design, etc. For further information, just follow the link below.
