Codec, a geometric sans serif type system from foundry Zetafonts.
Designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, Francesco Canovaro, and Andrea Tartarelli, the Codec font family has been published in May 2018. It’s a unique type system that provides you with two coherent fonts (Codec Cold and Codec Warm), which are based on the same skeleton. Codec Cold comes with terminals that are always cut parallel or perpendicular to the baseline. This gives the typeface a more geometric and constructed look. Codec Warm has open diagonal cuts and two-storey letterforms giving the typeface a more humanist touch. Both typefaces come with a variety of weights as well as matching Italics. The family supports multiple languages including Cyrillic and Greek alphabets. The various OpenType features include small caps, positional numerals, swash forms as well as over a hundred of variant ligatures and alternate glyphs.
