Apparel, a new font family inspired by the functional characteristics of famous serif typefaces such as Times New Roman and Caslon.
Published by foundry Latinotype at the end of October 2020, Apparel is a contemporary yet classic serif font family consisting of twenty styles. The typeface has been designed by Daniel Hernández and Alfonso García with the aim to develop a display serif font family that shares similar functional characteristics with typefaces such as Times New Roman and Caslon, while adding its own personality to convey a more contemporary touch. A medium-large x-height makes Apparel a great choice for headlines and visual identities. The family also includes a version with a stronger contrast between thick and thin strokes. This version works best in even larger font sizes.
The extensive character set of the Apparel font family supports more than Latin-based languages and includes also a basic Cyrillic set. Its OpenType features include old-style and lining figures as well as fractions and alternates, among others. Just click on one of the following links to learn more.
