The DUAL Typeface, a full width sans-serif font with experimental alternatives.
Montreal, Canada based font designer Charles Daoud (Foundry: CDType) has created the DUAL typeface in 2014. The DUAL typeface is a full width sans-serif font with lots of experimental alternatives. Its geometric structure provides straight lines with 90 degree angles, which give the DUAL typeface a very contemporary and technical look and feel. In addition, it ensures great legibility. There are currently three weights available with the folllowing numbers: 100, 300, and 600. Three more weights with the numbers: 200, 400, and 500 are currently in work and will follow later this year.
Charles Daoud’s approach was to develop a typeface that offers a basic and very legible shape but with the use of several included experimental alternative characters, you can create some unique, decorative headlines and titles. The DUAL typeface currently includes 251 alternate glyphs and 10 stylistic sets, which make it a versatile font for any designer.
